Awesome miles-long beach with dramatic views of the coastline. Lots of space for beach-goers, not too far from the pretentious and crowded beaches of Sydney (less than two-hour's drive). Great swimming, cool waves. The beach is close to Lake Macquarie, which offers stunning views, kids-friendly beaches and a lot of options for water sports. Awesome destination for a weekend or a day trip.

I attended a wedding. Great place for a function! Didn't server beverages at the end of the night, though. It must be a dying thing to do! It's always nice to wash a meal down!
