Been to heaps of Snaps and this is the worst one by far. They clearly rely on the location to secure contracts. Equipment is kinda old, not a lot of options either. Everything is dirty, there are barely any disinfectants supplied to clean machines when you are done, no signage to encourage people to wipe down machines either. The standards are the lowest I have seen in any Snap. And the clientele don’t seem to understand the most basic of gym etiquette - weights left all over the place, mats piled in walkways, people dropping weights without care, nothing put back where it belongs or wiped with a towel when they are done.🤮 I’ll head back to Newtown Snap, thanks

It is with great displeasure that I write this review. I have been attending Clarence Street Snap Fitness and the space lacks cleanliness and is sadly filthy. Gym is meant to bring health and positive aspects to our life. I was a previous member at Snap fitness in Perth, where the situation was very different and have moved to Sydney in the last 2 weeks. The Clarence Street location was the most convenient for me to attend. I tried to the manager (whom is hardly ever at the reception desk and only found exercising) as to work with improvements for a filthy environment is unacceptable. The gym has no soaps in most of the toilet sinks, stations where wipes are located is super dirty around… the other day there was not a single alcohol gel bottle filled to be used. Dust is everywhere especially weight sections. This week the stair climber equipment has a spider web right in front, with a spider hanging there. The manager asked me to send him an e-mail yesterday, which I did. I wrote and included pictures as to the matter. I wasn´t comfortable with the fact that I had already spoken and no one else was in copy as to address the issue. The manager replied to my e-mail on the same day, informing those actions would be taken, but on the following day I was surprised with an unexpected incident today towards me. Today, I was surprised with a rude approach from one member, which and opted not to reply and continued with my music and exercise. I didn´t respond and wished the man “all the best” when we left the gym at the same time. Latter that day the same manager sent me an e-mail filled with lies as if I was the one with inappropriate behavior in the gym, when I was the one who received an unexpected attitude when returning the man´s towel. The manager wrote that I had inappropriate behavior at the gym, to members and staff members. That I was no longer welcome at the gym. This is a lie and didn´t occurred at all!! I am surprises and shocked with these two incidents which apparently might be connected… I felt so unsafe today. I was the only women and was mistreated and later received an email filled with lies. I only wanted to use one of the 3 benches, which 2 were being used and the third was occupied by his towel. I decided to wait and do another exercise. While I was doing a rep of 4x18, the man that left his towel at the beach only came once. Once I was finished, I literally went to him and ask if I could use the equipment. He said yes. Which was great. I had music on my ears and grab his towel to give it back to him. OMG! That guy, freaked out, he was so arrogant, saying he could grab the towel himself and that I was rude to touch his towel. He kept speaking rudely towards me (I felt harassed). That was just awful! I felt so mistreated by the tone of his voice and the way he kept speaking to me. I said I didn’t hear him and didn’t know it was rude to give the towel back to him. Afterward I only said: “you’re a very rude man, and I’m glad I’m not listening to you, as I have headphones on”. It was awful, really. I felt terrible and didn’t feel safe at all. I am very surprised with this entire situation and neve had similar experience. I find this experience at this gym unacceptable. All the best Julianna
