We stayed at Shellharbour NRMA for a few nights in our caravan. The location itself is great and we really enjoyed having beach access, but overall the park didn’t quite meet our expectations. When we arrived it was fairly quiet, but it became very busy over the weekend. The park is currently undergoing renovations and adding new sites, though some of the layouts looked quite tight with poles and close proximity to other vans — I’m not sure how easy it will be for larger setups to manoeuvre once it’s finished. There wasn’t a lot for kids within the park, which wasn’t ideal, but it did encourage us to explore the surrounding area, which turned out to be a highlight. We loved being close to the beach, but our site became a bit of a thoroughfare for kids walking directly through to the sand. A designated walkway or clearer access point would really help improve privacy for those staying on the beachfront. The main downside for us was the amenities. Unfortunately, the bathrooms didn’t appear to be cleaned during our stay, leaving toilet paper, sand, and water scattered around. This was disappointing compared to other parks we’ve stayed at. Overall, the location is beautiful, and with some improvements to the amenities and general upkeep, the park could become a much better experience for guests. We enjoyed the beach access, but we’d hope to see a few upgrades before considering a future stay.

We have just spent a week here on our travels down south. I can say this is the best caravan park we have stayed in. Amazing location only 20m from the beaches. The staff are so friendly and the place is immaculate! Toilets and showers so clean . Camp kitchen is also amazing ! Highly recommend this park 😊 Natalie Butler
