As legend has it, there was once a cement map of the world in the pond, and children could row a canoe around the "world". In a big storm, it was filled with sand, and in the process of clearing out the sand, the map got severely damaged. Now it's just a sandy-bottom pool. Perfect for even the tiniest babies. Not much shade. A few shady tables if you don't go at a busy time. Full toilets and change rooms at the ocean baths next door, which are locked overnight. There is an outdoor shower for use at any time.
