I visited the freshly renovated Balmain bath house to relax and reset following a particularly stressful period. From the moment I was greeted I felt an instant calm in my mind & body like I’d crossed over some threshold keeping the caps at bay behind me as I’m shown through the doors along a beautifully & tastefully decorated corridor past a very practical wet towel shoot, led further past a comfy couch in a tranquil zone & into the steamy haze of some Grecian oasis that is the bathouse. This area is organised into seven stations that can be used randomly or as recommended in an order of hat best utilises contrast therapy. First a shower is required & unique to Natures energy there’s an abundance of exfoliating sea salt to scrub down the body ahead of expelling some serious sweat beads in the traditional sauna. I limit my saunas to ten mins but it was well sufficient for evicting those toxins. I then trepidatiously slid into the most tolerable ice bath I’ve ever encountered, which made me happy because I lasted longer than I had in ice baths elsewhere though I’m unsure of the actual temperature of the two baths installed here. On to the mineral pool which isn’t vast in size comfortably fits maybe five or six people. I felt the temperature was perfect and 15 mins or so was completely invigorating. Then I showered, then steamed then infra red sauna, shower, dried off and did my last ten minutes standing in front of a medical grade Infra-red panel which I feel may have booted my immune system into a restorative state. Even well into the next day I’m feeling as light as a feather, my mood has lifted significantly. I had previously only been in unisex bathhouses. I wasn’t uncomfortable at any stage sharing the space but it was quite a different experience to segregated venues. Honestly the most relaxing place I’ve been to and their ritual makes complete sense so it is incredibly helpful to post it on signage for us forgetful peeps. Another pleasant surprise was the lux products all are invited to use in when showering. My hair was left feeling clean, soft & detangled - a major feat & largely only achieved from using good quality shampoo & conditioner. I highly recommend you attend Natures Energy Balmain Bathouse to experience tranquility in the midst of any chaos you maybe experiencing in life. As good as a holiday, and feeling just as refreshed, still vibing two days on…an incredible experience.

Enjoyed the experience overall. Great that red light therapy was included. Clean facilities. Parking was tricky and an additional expense. Hard to keep track of time. If you can put in a large clock, that would be really helpful. I …
