AVOID Long Reef SLSC for your wedding or event! We had the unfortunate experience of booking Long Reef SLSC for our wedding, and it was an absolute disaster. The venue failed to provide basic essentials, such as gas and hot water in the kitchen, which left us unable to cook or clean during our event. Instead, we were forced to use a BBQ located downstairs and outside, our caterer spent the whole evening running up and down the stairs to cater for 60 guests for a three course meal,which was far from acceptable for a wedding. Despite raising these serious issues with the management, they failed to offer a proper apology or take responsibility for the situation and only replied after 2 emails with their response coming in weeks after the event. When we cited the force majeure clause in the contract, they dismissed it, claiming the issue wasn’t relevant. To add insult to injury, we’ve had to fight for a refund. While the Club offered a minimal reduction in the hire fee as a “gesture of goodwill,” it does not come close to compensating for the major disruptions, stress, and financial impact caused. We were left disappointed and out of pocket, and the complete lack of professionalism and accountability shown by the Club is unacceptable. I strongly advise against booking this venue for any important occasion.
