Common areas were never cleaned properly, for example there was hair on the female washroom floor for all the days I was staying, there are no paper towels to be found in the kitchen area. Moreover, there is no AC and the common area doesn't even have a fan. The place is also ridden with insects everywhere. It's also not clear who is a staying guest that helps out vs who the actual staff that runs the place is. The guests are more long term stayers with their own friend groups, so if you're looking for something more social this isn't it. That was not much of an issue for me, but the cleanliness and insects would be a reason I wouldn't recommend this place.

Very calm and peaceful hostel. The rooms and common areas are relatively clean. There's a spacious and comfortable common room that's open 24/7, which is a big plus. The outdoor area is also very green and pleasant to hang out in. Be aware that there's no reception or staff on-site, and there are no showers on the upper floor. The hostel is connected to an English language school upstairs, which might explain the quiet atmosphere. Overall, a nice place if you're independent and looking for a chill environment.
