I have booked for two nights ground level. I had checked the room and left my bags then opened the bathroom door it smelt like sewage inside the bathroom facility. I had close the bathroom door when leaving and small cockroach was crawling on the wall. Next day I was in and out of room but I had left the bathroom door open this time thinking it would air it out and when I came back the whole apartment stunk like sewage that was coming from the bathroom facility was disgusting. Once I closed the door it had eliminated it so I can get Sleep that night. So I needed to get up early 230 in the morning going to have a shower and then I’ve seen a cockroach those little tiny little brown little things again crawling around near the fridge I didn’t get a chance to kill it. Well, I’m sitting on the edge of the bed. I looked over and you could see behind the fridge that hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. It’s a lot of buildup of dust behind it. Fridge was NOT even cold. I had drinks and food in there that I had to throw out because it was not cold. I was a bit annoyed about that. Frankly, I just did not have a good stay after seeing the cockroaches and smell that was so disgusting. I could not even think to even have breakfast that morning set out in the foyer area good thing was convenient having Maccas went and got coffee and breakfast there. No PowerPoint in the bathroom to use for hairdryer., very poor accommodation for the price$$. I understand it was going to be a small compacted room with no high expectations. But cleanness very poor need to get pest control.

I booked the Ibis Budget Gosford knowing it would be basic and compact, which was perfectly fine for an overnight stay—especially given its association with the Accor brand and standards. However, I was very disappointed to discover a noticeable urine stain on the bed sheet. Unfortunately, I didn’t see it until the morning, which was unpleasant knowing I had slept in it. Regardless of price or star rating, clean linens are a fundamental expectation for any accommodation. On top of that, the shower was poorly maintained and fell below even budget expectations. To make matters worse, the roller blind on the window had squashed bugs on it; clearly, when the blind rolls up it crushes insects, and no one has bothered to clean it. I don’t write reviews often, but I don’t want another guest to go through the same experience, and I hope management addresses these issues promptly. I am also an employee of an Accor property myself, and I know the brand holds clear expectations for cleanliness and guest care. This experience does not reflect those standards. The staff were polite and check-in was smooth, but housekeeping and maintenance clearly need much closer attention. At the very least, guests should be able to expect fresh, spotless sheets, a properly functioning shower, and clean window coverings.
