A well equipped campground (paid) halfway between Sydney and Newcastle, catered for families and children with fun filled activities such as horse riding, quad biking etc just within the vicinity. Glamping is also available. Great toilet/shower facilities wit hot water. Conveniently, 9-5 customer/food/beverages service kiosk as well. What's more amazing, particularly for the kids, is the daily running of the horses that takes place around 4pm. Probably not ideal for a real camping experience like in the bush.

The campground is situated in a beautiful valley and there are a lot of fun activities to enjoy. All expensive. People have fun and enjoy their experiences in the main as far as I could tell. However: The reason for my 1 star review is that the camping facilities you need are woefully inadequate, primitive, often filthy and totally unacceptable. Bear in mind there can be 100s of campers in the area we stayed. Want to wash your dishes? No kitchen type facilities exist. There are 2 sinks outside the toilets where people wash their hands, clean their teeth and spit out the debris etc and others try to wash up their stuff. If you wash your dishes at your campsite the only place to dump your waste water is the above 2 sinks which can be a good walk away, in use or dirty. Want to use the toilet? The facilities are really very sub standard. Unacceptable. There are ONLY 3 non gender toilets in the main block. For hundreds of people. Want to wash your hands. See above. There are also 3 porta loo cabins that have a shower, a basin and a toilet. ALSO VERY PRIMITVE and unclean. Need the toilet urgently? There are queues at every toilet during rush hours. Get in the wrong queue and keep your fingers crossed that the occupants ahead of you are quick, or don't take a 10 minute shower. I waited 20 minutes for a toilet. I would be happy to stay there again ONLY if I was in a self-contained caravan. Finally, the prices they charge are totally excessive given what they actually provide.
