I booked a standard King room direct on Gladius website a week in advance and checked in at 2.30pm. I Joined Choice membership to receive free upgrade with our booking. We paid premium rate for room. Hotel is quite far from restaurants and bars so expect to pay around $30 for return Uber if you want to go anywhere Room on level 2 was so small we could not open the bar fridge completely because the bed was in the way. To open doors and cuboards was a logistical nightmare No bedside tables a desk and small chair that you couldn't pull out because again the bed was in the way Two very small widows and a whole lot of unnecessary cabinetry taking up space ,enough for 5 people's belongings for weeks. No full length mirror. No air conditioning in common areas and it was 32 degrees. No instructions in room to call front desk so I had to go and find staff to get ice. Staff were sitting in tiny dining room next to front desk eating KFC when I approached Person with children occupied room on floor and the noise transfer was really loud. All doors slammed loudly also. After realising how loud our room was and finally getting the front desk number I called and asked if there was a more suitable room. They said we can not change rooms as we had been there longer than 3 hours. I said I can not possibly get any rest in this room he said if we paid an extra $50 we can get an up grade from our standard room. I said I thought we did receive our upgrade and he said no because of the festival. That's not my problem I explained he then asked if he could call back after speaking to his supervisor. Called back 5 minutes with same answer and offered to check out at 11 rather than 10 and free continental breakfast which I declined. I asked what was the supervisors name and said I can't tell you I will get into trouble. I don't think he bothered to even ask Was awoken regularly through night due to noise and woken at 6am from guests in their rooms. Partner and I was hoping to enjoy some quality quiet time instead we sat on a bed in a tiny claustrophobic box hearing the business of other guests. Very disappointed and not feeling rested at all. Basically ruined our stay. Save disappointment and book elsewhere.

Lovely and high class atmosphere. The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The bath alongside the variety of hygiene and skincare products was surprising and greatly appreciated. Felt very well rested after our stay.
