Five Islands Hotel

Stopped in here as we were too tired to head home after what was meant to be just a day trip. Pleasantly surprised by recent renovations. Rooms were all fresh with a whopping great flatscreen, "shared bathroom" not ata ll like the country pubs we stay in regularly, you get to lock the door and have the whole bathroom to yourself. It's better than what I have at home! Great shower with almost instant hot & strong water. We ate downstairs in the pub and the serving sizes were very good. The other half had a boscaiola pasta dish and was very happy, I just had nachos and the ration of sour cream, guacamole etc was far better than the last time I had it up in Sydney. Great tariff for the newly renovated accomodation, bistro good portions and pricing, we'll be back

It’s a good hotel. I paid more for the en-suite as I’m not keen sharing a bathroom with randoms. The room had all the basics, including coffee, tea facilities, bathroom amenities etc. It’s clean and overall a solid choice. Maybe it’s a little over-priced given the location but if I went back to southern Wollongong anytime soon, I’d likely stay there again.
