I'm not too comfortable posting a 2-star review but so many things went wrong and I never heard from management so here's my experience unfortunately. I purchase Endota Spa vouchers as reward and recognition for team members over the years, purchasing with the trust that it's a premium, relaxing spa and put in good hands. My experience for my booking last Thursday was shockingly terrible, and will be my last at The Rocks. I made a booking to treat myself for 5:30pm Thurs 10th July 2025 - Intense Radiance Facial and a remedial (?) massage. I've had a crazy few months and this was my downtime before another project run. - I received a missed call on 7 July with no Voicemail or SMS so I assume it's a cold call. It's also courtesy to send a follow up written communication normally but I didn't receive one. - the same number called again 9 July so I answer (screenshot of call history). Endota The Rocks receptionist asked me to come earlier but didn't specify what time. I let them know I'm driving up from Wollongong and 5:15pm is the earliest I could do, instead of 5:30pm. Receptionist pushed for 4:30pm and I compromised for 5pm which caused complications on my end with traffic and another errand I had to do after the meeting, hoping to be relaxed. - the same receptionist calls at 4:53pm on the day of my booking whilst I'm parking underground in the nearby carpark to make sure I'm on time for a 5pm appt. I felt rushed. There was no 'thank you, how are you, see you soon'. I arrive at the spa 4:57pm, the brunette receptionist didn't greet with 'hi, how are you etc' it was an abrupt 'I'll take you downstairs '. Which made no sense to me as I've never been there before, and I let her know that. The whole experience was just odd with so many things went wrong and I definitely didn't feel taken care of. I felt very rushed, and I didn't feel settled in at any part of this. Amelia was a lovely therapist who tried her best but the receptionist was vacuuming in the last 20mins of my massage. After my massage, the receptionist told me there's no showers available because I didn't tell her I needed one earlier (I didn't know I had to, there was no induction), and my entire body was slathered with thick body oil, including the soles of my feet and would have been a slipping hazard on the wooden floors of the massage room. My hair was extremely oily and it made me feel very ick at how thick it was. In my initial phone call to this receptionist, I had let her know it's my first time, and I told her again when she rushed me downstairs to be waiting for 7mins with no one attending to me. If I knew this was what to expect, I wouldn't have come here, nor would I have been buying vouchers for so many team members in the past! I don't know if I had a bad luck of an experience, or this is the norm and regular customers have a lower standard, but there was nothing authentic nor relaxing here. I explained my feedback to Amelia after the massage. She said she would notify the manager and it's been more than a week and I haven't heard anything back. Amelia farewelled me and said the exit door is to the left. The receptionist followed me up the stairs, didn't even ask how my massage was, but called out to me as I was about to leave 'you need to pay!' It was so rude, so uncomfortable, and degrading. Someone with her lack of care shouldn't be in the front facing role. I hadn't heard anything back from management so I'll send them a request through email however at this stage, Endota spa is removed from our rewards list in the company. This was absolutely careless and I truly hope no one else goes through this. I paid almost $400 for this which is alot more than I've ever paid at my usual. Whilst the facial was good, I would have definitely preferred Nature's Energy bathhouse over this any day.
