Coffs Harbour Camping & Farmstay

Unfortunately, this was the worst camping experience my family and I have ever had even though we only stayed one night. I should have lessened to the other reviewers and not booked here. The host was extremely unfriendly and confrontational from the start. More concerning was the lack of basic hygiene facilities. The toilet hand-washing water had been deliberately blocked, and when we asked why there was no water, the host told us it was because refilling the tank was “hard work” and instead instructed us to walk around 150 metres to wash our hands after using the toilet. This affected many campers, not just us. Providing functioning toilets with water for handwashing is a basic responsibility, especially when guests have paid in full. Blaming campers for issues caused by poor maintenance is unfair and unacceptable. Sealed the water pump with cover so it shouldn’t create work for them to refill the water On top of this, the host was disrespectful toward my family, and comments were made that felt discriminatory and deeply offensive. This completely ruined what was meant to be the start of our holiday. We also later faced false accusations about damage and guest numbers, despite having paid correctly for everyone on our booking. I would strongly caution families, particularly those from diverse backgrounds, before booking here. A campground should feel welcoming and safe unfortunately, this one did not.

Great camping spot and location in Coffs Harbour. 15 mins from the beach and close to 4wd tracks and other local sights. Plenty of space to camp, campfires allowed, and the owners/staff very friendly and helpful. We have been here twice and enjoyed it. Portaloos are very clean. Only thing not here are shower facilities.
