We had such a great experience camping at Cattai Campground! The place is surrounded by beautiful nature and wildlife. We saw plenty of kangaroos, crows, lorikeets, and cockatoos during our stay. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, with toilets and hot showers available (a big plus). Electic BBQ is available. Campground is unmarked and unpowered. There are lots of firepits around the campground, perfect for evening fires — we made s’mores under the stars, and it was absolutely perfect. ✨ The park rangers regularly go around to check bookings and make sure everything is in order, which made us feel safe and well looked after. If you enjoy fishing, there’s also a nice spot nearby to cast a line. We camped in late October, and the weather couldn’t have been better — cool nights around 12°C and warm afternoons at 24°C. Couldn’t ask for a more relaxing weekend surrounded by nature. Highly recommend Cattai for families, couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful camping escape!

Good campground within 1 hour of Sydney CBD. One would forget it is very much a part of Sydney metro. Facilities were clean and hot showers can't go wrong. Good views of Hawkesbury river. There is not much walks or other activities, but if you are looking for a quiet camping trip close to Sydney with good Facilities, this is the place for you.
