Stayed at Aanuka for 3 days in a cabin, spent $700 and for what you actually get I wasn’t overly impressed. No house keeping to give you fresh towels or restock toilet paper etc. I can’t imagine staying there for weeks. Had to pay for wifi (not included), beach towels and the parking lot is atrocious. If you are staying near main reception, you share the carpark with in and out visitors at all hours from events at Aanuka beach house and the other bar there. It’s tiny, narrow spots, worried about if someone is going to hit your car with the amount of tourists there. One night we had to park on the street in the rain, as a guest because it was full. Definitely overpriced and over rated online. It wasn’t all bad, we had a great time, however definitely spent way too much for what you get. Tried the breakfast buffet and that wasn’t included, $40 per person per day so went elsewhere. Our cabin had a glass roof in the bathroom that hadn’t been cleaned for a good while either. It was so busy and wasn’t even school holidays or Christmas time. I would avoid during the holiday period!! Cabin was also down the back right next to the road but we were told it was nice and quiet.

People with young kids - don't stay here. Rooms are not safe for toddlers - bedroom has a "fire door" that isn't lockable from the inside. Similar to many other negative reviews - stepping into Aanuka is like stepping 20-30 years back in time. Imagine an older home with a bad DIY reno job. No servicing rooms (3 night stay), 1 roll of toilet paper, no bin bag replacements. One of our original towels had stains on it. None of that bothers me enough to leave a bad review... however when asking for clean towels (at 8.30pm) - I was told there's a $2 charge per towel (not to own - to merely use!). Ours were soaked from the pool. They offered me washing powder to wash our wet towels... Had a choice of either drying my 2 year old with a wet towel that night - or spending $2. So here I am with a dry toddler, a bad review and without $2.
