Bents Basin Campground

A family friendly campground complete with essential amenities, view, and nature exploration. We came here as a big group and didn't disappoint! We needed to book way before though so everyone would be able to get a booking. Were about 10 families. We booked the kitchen and dining area which had enough essentials for storing our foods and cooking. The dining had enough seating and tables for our group, though at night the dining lights didn't work. It wasn't that a big inconvenience though. The campground itself had more than enough space not just for our group but for other families too to camp out. It was well-equipped with a barbecue and campfire pits. There's also trees that served as shade. It was our first time camping as a small family and we couldn't be happier of the experience. Our toddler was so happy roaming around with friends but we still felt that he was safe as the roads weren't too wide inside the campground and there were barriers to every part. Restrooms were just enough for the place's capacity. I like the idea of timed hot water. Win win for both the guests and the environment! We also loved the opportunity to hike by the lake. It was accessible if you're not used to hiking like our family and with little ones with you. The view going and by the lake was stunning! It was a wonderful experience. We will surely be back as a family. For a very minimal price, it was surely worth it! Highly recommended!

Excellent place for novice campers like us. Full amenities available, hot showers (3 min limit), proper toilets and even a kitchen {must be booked). With a basin to play in, the children will be happy too. Sadly, that means it's really popular and can get crowded in holidays. The camp ground are nice and mowed but most are not terribly level, so a way to level your tables and kitchens will be necessary. We saw a wombat and an echidna! Wake to the music of birds too!
