Queanbeyan Riverside Caravan Park - QRCP

Not your typical caravan park. There is no personal service here, check in is via your phone. If you don't have phone internet available (I've come across some oldies that don't) this is not for you. The Airstream van at the front is amazing but not sure what purpose it serves. There is a small bbq/eating area, clean amenities/accessible toilets/laundry/kitchen. There is no atmosphere at all and it's quite noticeable - especially as we have stayed in many parks. There is a public walkway on one side where the back of your van is literally a small garden bed from being on the walkway. You have limited privacy and, security is what you provide for yourself. The public just wanders through. There is a great playground for the kids right next door to the park (not inside the park). Shopping centre is right across the road, and there is a park with ducks right next door. Lots of bindis/spikey things in the grass - ouch! This place really lacked personality and safety. I would only use again for a one nighter and ensure I packed up and locked up. Recommendation to the owner, put a fence around it, put a happy receptionist on - even for a small amount of the day.

This was a good campsite clean amenities hot showers and laundry facilities. Good base for Canberra close to Coles and Kmart and a good Indian restaurant (Punjabi hut) who delivers.The only issue is that there is no fence between the public walking path and sites meaning we didnt chairs etc out at night or while away.
